Extension Modules: Triangulation

The extension module Triangulation offers the functionality for generating triangle meshes from point clouds (for example 3D scan datasets). This feature allows to reconstruct the surfaces of scanned objects.

• meshing of partial areas of a point cloud or 3D scan data sets
• Extensive adjustment possibilities for different triangulation algorithms
• Rasterized and point exact 2.5D triangulation (depth map)
• Efficient meshing of laser scan data
• Creation of closed triangle meshes by healing holes and sparsely occupied regions (Poisson 3D)
• Meshing of any 3D point data (Marching Cubes 3D)
• Combine multiple point clouds into a single triangle mesh
